Two Flint precincts move to a new polling place, one renamed for the Nov. 3 election

Voters in two Flint precincts will cast ballots at a new location in the Nov. 3, 2026 general election, and voters in a third precinct will find the same building they used in 2024 listed under a different name.

Genesee County polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3. The county’s mandatory nine-day early in-person voting window runs Oct. 24 through Nov. 1.

What the changes compare against

The city has not published a polling map from a 2025 election, so the baseline here is the most recent published map, from the Nov. 5, 2024 general election.

What has changed in Flint

Of Flint’s 29 voting precincts for the Nov. 3, 2026 general election, Precincts 23 and 24 have moved out of Neithercut Elementary School, where they voted in November 2024, to Word of Life Christian Church. Neithercut Elementary has been permanently closed.

Flint Precinct 1 still votes at the same building it used in 2024, but the site is now listed as Mays Community and Senior Center, formerly Hasselbring Senior Center.

Affected polling locations

  • Flint Precincts 23 and 24: Word of Life Christian Church, 460 W. Atherton Road.
  • Flint Precinct 1: Mays Community and Senior Center, 1002 W. Home Ave.
